Adopt a Tile December Special

Although this may look like snow, this tile is actually showcasing rock from a shallow sea containing the fossils of a crinoid (a cousin of the starfish) and two ancient jawless fish. The fine grain mud of the seafloor was perfect for preserving organisms from the Silurian Period, which is why many fossils are found from this time period.

When you adopt this tile, the ornament-like figure of the crinoid will not only remind you of your generosity during the holiday season, but of your commitment towards Earth science education.

This tile can be adopted for only $1,000 (and you have the option to spread the payment over three years).  Please contact Elizabeth Brando in the Development department at brando@museumoftheearth.org or 607-273-6623 x15 or click here to make a secure donation.
