Adopt a Tile February Special

Happy Valentines Day! Someone has adopted this tile but we have many more to choose from. Please click here to browse.

These shapes may look like Valentine’s Day jellybeans, but they’re actually trilobites! An ancient relative of today’s insects, lobsters, and horseshoe crab, these ancient arthropods were very common residents of the ocean floor back in their day. While fossils of these creatures are bountifully found in upstate New York, there has yet to been an adoption of a tile depicting these creatures in such a majestic way.

By adopting this tile, not only will you be helping to memorialize a part of New York’s ancient past, but helping the Museum of the Earth to educate individuals on our local natural history. With your donation, this tile will allow for individuals of all ages to learn about the history of our planet, a history that cannot be forgotten.

Please contact Elizabeth Brando in the Development department at brando@museumoftheearth.org or 607-273-6623 x15 or click here to make a secure donation. A tile costs $1,000 to adopt and donations can be spread out over multiple years if you wish.
