Adopt a Tile November Special

Although you would never guess, this tile showcases a skull of the ancient flightless bird, Gastornis, sometimes more popularly known by its old name diatryma. Towering in size over the modern day turkey, this extinct bird roamed the planet 55 million years ago after the extinction of all large dinosaurs. With its massive size (it stood at six feet!), it could feed much more than one family on Thanksgiving.

In the spirit of this upcoming holiday, at this institution we hope that we will always remain a part of your family’s lives. With our unique exhibits and interactive programs, the Museum of the Earth caters to all ages, allowing each visitor to craft their own learning experiences to understand the natural world around them.  By adopting this tile, you will not only continue to bring science education into your own family’s lives, but countless other individuals in our community.

This tile can be adopted for only $1,000 (and you have the option to spread the payment over three years).  Please contact Elizabeth Brando in the Development department at brando@museumoftheearth.org or 607-273-6623 x15 or click here to make a secure donation.
