PRI has a long and illustrious history as a publisher, dating back more than 100 years. We publish two scientific journals, Bulletins of American Paleontology (begun in 1895), and Palaeontographica Americana (begun in 1916), both founded by Gilbert Harris, Professor of Geology at the time at Cornell University. Bulletins of American Paleontology is the oldest continuously-published paleontological periodical in North America.
In addition to these regular publications, occasional Special Publications, which include stand-alone books and booklets written by authorities on specific topics, are produced two to four times each year.
We’re “Going Geological” for the month of May 2013, in celebration of the opening of our new Glacier Exhibit. The following three publications are on sale this month at 50% off . In addition, buy any of these books, or any other PRI Publication, and receive a free copy of Geology of Seneca County, New York, by J. W. Wells (2004).
Bulletins of American Paleontology is available by subscription. Standing orders to PRI’s Special Publications are available. Please see more information on each of our publication series by clicking on the series title here or at left.
PRI is also pleased to collaborate with the Paleontological Society in offering some of its back publications for purchase, including PS Papers, Short Course Notes, and PS Special Publications. Standing orders are available.
