John Wells (1907-1994) was a professor of geology at Cornell University for more than a half century and a resident of Seneca County, just north of Ithaca. This manuscript was written for the general reader in 1978, but lay unpublished until it was rediscovered in 2002. It is a charming look at the geological and cultural history of a place that Wells deeply loved.Questions or want information about discounts? Please email us.
