What do you think is the value of being able to predict future climate?

To be resilient we need to be able to plan. Predictions of sea level rise tell us where we should and shouldn’t build. Predictions of temperature increases inform how we protect vulnerable populations. Prediction-based planning isn’t about responding to hunches or guesses; scientific prediction is based on quantifiable understanding of Earth’s climate, and an essential tool in building resilient communities. -Ali M.

We will be able to see a different world.

I think the value of being able to predict climate change is that it can prepare us for necessary steps we need to take in order to live in the future and gives us insight of what we can do to keep the world healthy.

-Oliver Allen

I think protecting our planet and its ecosystem is very important.

-Flore Riffard

If we know a range of possible future climate changes, and they look like they'll cause a lot of harm and suffering, we can choose to take action now so those possibilities don't become reality.
