Switching to electric cooking

What would motivate you to switch from gas to electric cooking?

Electric induction stove is better.

My friend has an induction cooktop and he says it boils water faster than his gas stove did and that cooking is responsive in the way that gas stoves are but traditional electric stoves are not. Sounds pretty good.

I love the idea that an induction cooktop doesn't get hot. It seems a lot safer, and spills wouldn't burn and get stuck.

I would not make the switch. Cooking with gas is superior in every way.

I hate the idea that my gas stove is polluting the air inside my house and damaging my kids' lungs. I really want to switch to an electric stove.

Electric induction stoves have a lot of advantages. My question is how quickly the money you save from using less energy makes up for the high upfront cost that I've seen.
