Wildfire Smoke July 2021

July 22, 2021

What effects of wildfire smoke have you noticed where you live?

The moon was bright orange on one of the days when the smoke from the West had reached Ithaca. I assume from some optical effect of the smoke particles in the atmosphere.

Wildfire smoke has caused it to be more cloudy and foggy. It is also not as sunny because of the fog blocking out the sun. The wildfire itself is causing a lot of animals to lose their home, their habitats and their lives.

-Finny Boy

It was very hazy in Big Flats recently.
