Below are some of the most frequently asked questions we get about renting our museum!
Booking the Museum

You can rent the museum on any day!
Entire Museum:
From Thursdays to Mondays, you can rent our museum after 5:00 pm (when the museum closes). On Tuesdays and Wednesdays, you can rent it any time you would like.
Raymond Van Houtte Museum Classroom:You can rent the classroom any day, any time!

Entire Museum:
On days when the museum is open (Thursdays-Mondays), you may start setting up at 3:00 pm. On days when the museum is closed (Tuesdays and Wednesdays), you can set up at any time.
Raymond Van Houtte Museum Classroom:
You can set up at any time, no matter if the museum is open or not!

The museum has roughly 70 parking spots available at the front of the property. Overflow parking exists next door if needed. We also have a spot in the back of the building available for equipment loading/unloading.
Please do not park in the grass or on the plaza.

Event insurance is required for any event that occupies the entire museum. Most people’s homeowners insurance plans can be easily amended to include a one-time event rider. Please contact us for specific requirements.

The deposit amount varies depending on the type of event you are holding. On top of your rental deposit, we charge a refundable security deposit.

Facilities & Equipment

The museum has 25 6-ft plastic folding tables, as well as 75 heavy-duty plastic stackable chairs, which may be used for your event.

Space allowing, items rented for your event (cocktail tables, tablecloths, chairs, etc.) may be delivered prior to the event. You can store such items in the loading dock at the back of the museum (which is attached to the BorgWarner Gallery) or in the Raymond Van Houtte Museum Classroom.

The sink in the kitchen of the Raymond Van Houtte Classroom may be used for catering preparation.
Space allowing, the refrigerator may be used as well. The freezer is not available for use.
Items in the kitchen and classroom space that are owned by the museum may not be used by the client or the caterer.
Food & Beverages

No, we are not licensed to serve alcoholic beverages. If you would like to have alcohol at your event, you can either have your caterer provide it or you can provide it yourself.
If you choose to provide your own alcohol, you must have liability insurance and a liquor license.

We do not, but we can provide a list of local options at your request.
